How to Import a Virtual Tour from Google into GoThru

A Step-by-Step Guide for Retrieving and Editing Google Street View Tours

GoThru allows you to import a tour that you've already published on Google Street View for editing, moderation, or republishing. You can locate the tour using the business name, address, or CID number.

You can also import any tours you’ve published from other platforms, such as a Matterport tour. Simply connect your publishing account to GoThru, then import the tour directly into your GoThru dashboard.

Step 1: Open My Tours

  1. Log in to your GoThru Dashboard.
  2. Go to the My Tours section.
  3. Click the "Import from Google" button.

Step 2: Find Your Tour

You have several options to locate your tour:

Option A: Search by Name or Address

  • Enter the business name or location in the search field.
  • Click "Import" once your tour appears.

Option B: Search by CID Number

  1. Go to CID Finder.
  2. Paste your Google Maps business page URL.
  3. Copy the CID number and paste it into the import field in GoThru.
  4. Click "Import".

Option C: Use Import from Map

  • Choose this if your panoramas are not linked to any business.
  • Navigate to the area on the map and extract the available Street View content.

Step 3: Import the Tour

  • GoThru will import the full constellation (all links between panoramas) but not the images themselves.
  • The listing becomes a stand-alone tour inside GoThru, sourced from Google Street View.

Step 4: Import Panoramas

  • Go to the Tools section.
  • Click "Import Panoramas" to bring the actual images into GoThru.

Step 5: Edit and Republish

  • Use the 360 Image Connector or VIrtual Tour Editor in the Tools section to edit your imported tour.
  • You can moderate the links, add branding, or prepare it for republishing.
