How to Shoot a Real Estate Virtual Tour with the Insta360 Camera and GoThru Street Editor

This guide shows how to shoot a professional real estate virtual tour using the Insta360 X4 (or X2/X3/X5) and the GoThru Street Editor app. The process also works with other 360 cameras, though direct connection may vary.
Step 1: Install the GoThru Street Editor App
- Go to the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Search for GoThru Street Editor.
- Download and install the app.
Step 2: Connect Your Camera
- Power on your Insta360 X4 camera.
- Wait a few seconds for the camera Wi-Fi to become active.
- On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the Insta360 network.
- Once connected, open the Street Editor app.
Step 3: Create a New Real Estate Tour
- Tap Create Real Estate Virtual Tour.
- Enter a name (e.g., “Home”).
- Choose Auto Connect.
- Select your distance setting:
- Every 3–5 meters indoors.
- Or 10–15 meters outdoors.
- Tap Continue.
Step 4: Start the Photo Shoot
- Allow GPS permissions when prompted.
- Connect the Insta360 camera inside the app.
- Place the camera in position and take your first photo.
- After each photo, move to the next location (e.g., just before and after a doorway).
Tap Capture Image Connected To and select the correct previous photo to link them.
💡 Photo Tips
- Always turn on all lights before starting.
- Capture images at intersections and doorways for proper navigation flow.
- Move the camera and hide while capturing to stay out of frame.
Step 5: Create and Label Levels (Floors)
- When moving to a different floor (e.g., basement):
- Tap Add Level.
- Name the level (e.g., “B” for Basement).
- Tap Save.
Continue capturing images, but don’t connect to images from other floors—start a new sequence.
Step 6: Finish and Upload the Tour
- When done shooting, reconnect your phone to your regular Wi-Fi.
- Tap Upload Tour in the app.
- Choose whether you want the AI to auto-label your images:
- It can detect kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc.
Step 7: Auto Tour Creation
Once uploaded:
- GoThru automatically connects the images, labels them, and creates the virtual tour.
- The process takes about 5 minutes.
Step 8: View and Share Your Tour
- You’ll receive an email from GoThru when the tour is ready.
- Open the link in Chrome or your preferred browser.
- Pause the autoplay to explore the tour manually.
- You can also rename rooms if needed directly in the GoThru editor.
Your real estate virtual tour is now ready to share with your client or publish online. The workflow is fast, efficient, and produces professional results with minimal post-editing.
