How to Work with Levels in GoThru

Levels allow you to organize panoramas by floor (e.g. basement, ground floor, upper floors) so they display correctly in GoThru and Google Street View’s elevator widget.

Step 1: Open the Tour Editor

  1. Log in to your GoThru account.
  2. Open My Tours.
  3. Select the tour you want to edit.
  4. From the left menu, click Edit 360 Images.

Step 2: Create a New Level

  1. In Edit 360 Images, click the ➕ (Add Level) button above the panorama list.
  2. The Create Level dialog will open.

Fill in the following fields:

  • Google Level Name
    • Required
    • Maximum 3 characters (example: LB1, G, F1)
  • GoThru Level Name
    • Friendly name for internal use (example: Lobby, Basement)
  • Select floor level
    • Underground
    • Ground
    • Above Ground
  1. Click Create.

✅ The level is now created and available in the level selector.

Step 3: Select Panoramas to Assign

  1. In the panorama grid, select one or more 360 images.
    • Use Shift to select multiple panoramas.
    • Selected images will show a blue checkmark.

Step 4: Change Level of Selected Panoramas

  1. With panoramas selected, click the Change Level icon (stacked layers) in the top toolbar.
  2. The Change Level dialog will appear.
  3. Open the Select Level dropdown.
  4. Choose the destination level (example: LB1 (Lobby)).
  5. Confirm the action.

✅ The selected panoramas are now assigned to the chosen level.

Repeat Steps 2–4 to create additional levels for the tour, such as multiple floors, basements, or upper levels.

Step 5: Verify Levels

  • Use the level tabs at the top to switch between floors.
  • Confirm that all panoramas appear under their correct levels.

Step 6: Publish Levels to Google Street View

  1. From the left menu, click Publish to Street View.
  2. Click Start Publishing.

Expected timing:

  • Levels appear in Google Street View in up to 48 hours.

Important Notes

  • Google Level Name is mandatory and limited to 3 characters.
  • Levels like ground or above the ground control how floors appear in Google’s elevator widget.
  • You can rename levels or reassign panoramas at any time. However, if you add new levels or modify existing level structures, you must first delete the tour from Google Street View, then re-publish it for the changes to take effect.
